Yeah, it's terrible that they are attempting to treat the product like its worth a shyt.

:what:

Terrible sarcasm, the WWE dosnt have to push that ESPN style trash just to hype up matches or treat this like a football game, it looks silly as fukk, they never used it before they dont have to use it now

What is silly about having wrestlers give their "opinions" on what are deemed important matches? Because it's scripted? Sure it's scripted but it's proven that wrestling is more successful in the long term when everything is treated as a legitimate competition and titles are treated with respect and not as a simple prop.. You lose that respect and end up like WCW.

Most real live pregame shows of legitimate sports are also scripted. I'm not going to bother to pull up the articles on Deadspin and the like but it's a known fact that most ESPN analysts' opinions are fabricated to push agendas. They create their own stories and then report on them.

It's wack when it's a PPV that's not that big a deal... but something like WrestleMania... if it's supposed to be viewed as the biggest, most important wrestling PPV of the year it makes sense. To me, they shoulda been doin' it since they started having it at stadiums. I remember at WM2000, they had like a 20-min post-show and it was dope to just have a recap and interviews with some of the winners, made it seem like a much bigger show. Never knew why they didn't keep with that.
