Either WWE is truly struggling financially, or they have no confidence/respect that AEW can challenge them in the slightest.

Releasing Strowman into the wild, Daniel Bryan supposedly signed with them, now Bray Wyatt is released, and ever present rumors of Punk being courted by AEW.

Normally wwe would just keep these ppl on the roster and just do nothing with them rather than let them go to possibly to any competitor.

It says alot that Vince is just like :yeshrug: "Let em go"

I'd take it as disrespect if I'm AEW, try to sign them all and make my product as best as it can possibly be.

What ever happened to AEW saying they weren’t looking to hire ex WWE talent..? :mjlol:

That’s all they do now.

To them they have more to worry about.

There's bigger things than AEW they have to compete against.

It's not like WCW in the late 90's.

Anyone really aiming to sign only people who haven't had nothing to do with WWE will have a roster with a bunch of unknowns
Who might shoot to stars with the right booking, but who don't mean anything to the casual fan

Yeah but AEW doesn't care about the casuals.

At least that's what the people in their crowd want to believe.

Yeah, but if you build even 1 legit star, the fans will come.

To their credit, wwe just has the ability to do that. It's like magic.

WCW did it at the end with Goldberg. But aew has to figure that out. You can compete with Jericho and to a lesser degree Cody....but you can't win with them.

Since Nick Khan came on board as President there's been a clear change in direction regarding the roster. That "hoarding talent and paying them to stay home for months/years" strategy Vince was leaning on got scrapped.

Because on Wall Street the bottom line is what matters. They need to cont. to increase revenue and EPS year over year they don't wanna be a slow growth company.

The cuts allow them to increase that bottom line and outside of a few talents i'm sure Nick khan feels they can just create newer cheaper stars..
