Fénix been buried since like a week after he debuted. No one gives a fukk about him over there because he can’t cut a WWE style promo, doesn’t have a singalong song, and doesn’t have a catchphrase.

They keep trying to find the next Rey Mysterio but the problem is that they can’t figure out that it requires more than just Mexican behind a mask.

Mistico should have been a layup for them when they brought him in. One of the most popular luchadors of all time coming in at arguably the height of his popularity. We all saw how badly they fumbled that.

But they’ve never understood lucha libre culture and never will. That’s ultimately why I don’t see this AAA purchase going well for AAA in the long term.

Only way they are going to find the next Rey Mysterio is if they left CMLL and AEW develop him then just do the exact same thing with him that AEW and CMLL were doing.
