I would imagine it’s like this for certain talent in the locker room today

For certain talent, sure. For Ken Kennedy...

Cody being Ricky's best friend isn't even helping him :mjlol: Dude should have stayed in AEW.

Sucks what's happening with Ricky. I thought he'd do great in WWE. Hopefully this is one of those let it play out situations and he gets a strong push.

I think it’s clear if they had even a thought of Ricky Starks being pushed, he’d have never shown up on NXT. When I first heard of Ricky going to WWE, I assumed he was Punk or Cody summer feud. Neither of them had one LOL

They tried to claim he wasn’t put on main roster immediately because Mania plans were all set in stone. Which really is a plausible excuse. You don’t change up your WrestleMania plans to accommodate a new midcard talent.

Yet they debuted Fenix direct to the main roster during Mania season. He even ended up getting a Mania match. Sure it was because Mysterio got hurt, but it’s still a match.

But Mania season ended several months ago. So why is he still down in the NXT midcard scene?

He’s been there since February and he’s got just one notable singles win on his resume - one - and it was against Ethan Page for the NA title. Why wasn’t he thrusted right to the NXT title picture from day one like they did with Ethan Page? They treated Page like an NXT star from day one.

It has never been a plausible excuse because 80% of every WM card from the jump to this year is not announced until 2 weeks before the actual show. All that shyt about Vince would book a year in advance to get to the next WM is absolute horseshyt in every era and all you have to do is watch the TV in any given era. At absolute best they'll have an idea by Survivor Series of where the main event of WM will go. Generally, that is also rare and ends up being a last minute thing at the Rumble with plans can change shyt going into No Way Out/EC every year for 25 years now.

If you debut someone in January to March in WWE, they're automatically seen as bigger stars than someone who debuts in NXT and stays down there for months or a year or more. Obviously, they saw more in Penta (and Fenix to a lesser extent) than Starks, and even then, the fukk have either of the Lucha Bros been doing besides being a random in multi mans for months? It's crazy to me that Fenix, the clearly much better of the Lucha Bros who seemed like the next Rey Jr. in a way no other lucha guy had in the US in many, many years even back to the MLW/Impact days, has absolutely ZERO hype or energy around him whatsoever after only a few months in WWE. Think of all the other lucha dudes WWE tried to push so hard over the past 15 years to have their next big Latino star and what the fukk is Fenix doing? Relegated to a team with another Mexicano who isn't even his brother, because all blacks and all Mexicans have to either team or feud in WWE.

Kevin Owens been in a big spot in WWE for years and he’s gone and they didn’t call anybody up. That was a major sign.
