The ref was in the right. Corny on his podcast said that the ref should almost always count it like a shoot and it's the responsibility of the talent to kick out.

This is what they train the refs to do anyway. It's not the ref's fault if a talent doesn't kick out and a weird pin looks better than a ref stopping at 2 because someone obviously fukked up (or is fukked up).

That's how WWE refs are trained. Ref in this case did his job since it was a botch by the talent.

Ref wasn’t decisive enough which played a part in making it looking like complete shyt. The looking around and pausing made it look so much faker than it is already

He may have hesitated for a quarter of a second, but he didn't delay the third hit of the mat.

Actually commended the ref for doing his job instead of a ridiculous hesitation.

Ayo, what the fukk is this.

Was checking old Dragon Gate events and Akira Tozawa was a prominent part of the show, a main eventer.

Then he went to the E and became the biggest case of "just happy to be here" guy. Bigger than Nakamura. At least with Nakamura they tried once in a while. Tozawa has been there for YEARS and done literally nothing. What the fukk.

I remember watching his PWG matches and thinking this dude was :birdman: . Now he’s a comedy act in the E. :heh:

Really surprised he’s been there this long. If he enjoys it, can’t hate. :manny:
