Naw no one is defending this, wrestling marks don’t give a fukk about real sports so espn other content doesn’t appeal to them.
Disney has been trash since endgame and with them buying nfl network and now WWE ppv they are forcing espn to remain relevant

It’s a good business decision for both parties but for us fans it’s alwful
We were talking about the mediocre PLEs breh

I read that it's going to raise the already like $30 adfree Disney+ bundle to $45 and it's still not clear if it gets you everything. Greedy fukks with this streaming shyt.
People were screaming ala carte for years not realizing that all these companies would eventually merge together and raise prices

Always something like this....

Tony Khan/HHH: "Our fanbase is very passionate and has followed WWE wherever we have gone and we continue posting record profits year over year. They'll continue to follow us to espn"

Blah blah blah. They won't be getting THIS guys money tho. :camby:

The library is headed to Vault/WCW on YouTube but it will take forever for them to upload everything.
They're never going to upload it all. It took until like 2022 to get all of Thunder up, and for the Saturday Night timeslot, they jumped in in 1985 and randomly stopped mid 1989, then jumped to Saturday Night proper for 1992 not even all the way through 1993 and never finished. And NONE of the other what seemed like 8 weekend JCP/WCW shows on the weekends for 15 years. Just a couple years of Superstars. All of TNT but not USA Pro, couple years of Challenge.

Same with Mid South. They just stopped after about 3 years and never went back. So far with Netflix they're not even bothering with most of Raws, let alone older shyt. No way that stuff just gets tossed to Youtube when they can sell it to a service, and then all that stuff is getting pulled from Youtube ASAP.

The funniest thing about the upcharge is that ESPN's streaming quality is ass compared to Peacock. It's never been addressed on ESPN+ to this point
I hope that NBC continuing to produce all PLEs and ESPN’s new streamer being “the best thing ever” plus their deal with the NFL will make sure this new platform doesn’t shyt the bed.

So, old Smackdown eps will remain on Peacock until 2029. The rest of the content will likely be scattered across various platforms unless Netflix buys it all. In which case, they likely won't prioritize uploading.

This is a joke.

If someone leases the entire library that would be great but why would they be currently uploading everything on YouTube now if they thought that would happen.

What do you mean?

NBC wil no longer be producing anything after March of 2026. Smackdown will remain on USA, which is owned by NBC

They did that between Network/Peacock transition and took it down once stuff was up on Peacock. And if left up, it was with a huge Peacock add at the bottom of the screen for the whole event. I believe they do that with Raw and Netflix now.
