Nah, I would call this, "We should have cherished the moments even more."

Just like a Hall of Fame QB leaving, its very hard to replicate the same success.

Vince will eventually die, and what is happening now, would have happened after he passed.
Everything from the business standpoint would’ve still happened with Vince:manny:

This is all on us and quite frankly, it needs to happen for the machine to self-destruct. You can't expect a machine to keep going, when the mastermind is no longer apart from the body.
WWE will always cook their books in such a way to convince these companies to do biz with them.

ESPN just wants more eyeballs and they feel the wwe demographic should be the same as theirs.

Thing is, during Attitude era and early 00s,they would have been correct with the demographic . But espn and most media at that time were overlyhappy to crap on anything wrestling related.

Not me.

Growing up vhs of wrestling ppvs were $60-70 bucks. Then DVD and Blu-ray were like $25-30.

I was a day 1 network subscriber with no qualms paying 9.99 for access to ALL of them

I only got off the Network because the 6 months lock in was stupid as hell and the marsupial was down bad at the time. But most of the time I was 9.99'ing it when there was a event or show to catch. NXT being exclusive to the Network was a added bonus. Hell, we never gave them a chance to cook at all!

But then again, the States had a bad omen once we had to forfeit the network for Peacock :dame:

Nah not as bad as this. I would say that Vince would allow somebody that's confident in his inner circle to hold it down. Hell, he saw the writing on the wall when the idiot doofus son in law turned NXT into ROH Yellow and Black. There are layers to Vince's vindictiveness, and he did that TKKKO deal out of spite because this is what fans wanted. They wanted the promotion to be "sports" instead of "entertained".

They wanted to be taken seriously, instead of realizing that the wrestling business is the circus on steroids.

So here we are...be careful what you wish for....
I think Vince still cared about what happened with the company.

Remember he WAS on the tko board before he got forced out after his trouble. I think he negotiated the sell to ensure he still had input.

Not at this level man...

Vince ran the WWE like 50 to G Unit. Everything was micromanaged under the umbrella. He wanted that to happen so nothing can infiltrate the direction of the company.

Noticed how the shows don't even have an identity anymore?

Its not the same versus how it used to be. When you saw a WWE event, it could be the drizzling shyts, but it had that WWE charm, and you knew it was what it was.

No different from me telling a huge difference on how NJPW changed under the Bushiroad direction. Big time corporations like TKKKO always have this lifeless and soulless direction concerning anything it touches.

WWE is just another promotion that's black and white, instead of color....in more ways than one :mjpls:

He was on the board yes, but he still wanted to put his hands all over the promotion. I honestly feel like the TKKKO/Endeavor shyt was just a attempt of "if I were to die" type of situation. Once the allegations came out and the gloves came off, dude just took his money and his spirit and voice slowly evaporated from the company itself.

Its a weird nasty deal that we will truly never know because the real happenings were around closed doors. All I know is that TKKKO are using the WWE as a propaganda tool to live on that MAGAt republican landscape, while wrestling itself is just a added bonus.

At least a few years ago under Vince's watch, you barely saw much Trump propaganda on his first term, as much as his second term and the mofo was all cheesing with the cocksucker during the family photo.

We didn't know how good we had it with the WWE Network era :mjcry:

I've never watched a single PPV in its entirety since they moved to Peacock. The Network made it possible for me to watch PPVs for the first time and there were several of them that I watched live from 2014-2019. Then you add in the vault and it was one of the best streaming apps I've ever used.

If you're paying $30 for a PPV in 2026, you lost. :mjlol:

Everyone is freaking out over the price increase but in a year or two nobody will care and it will be business as usual. WWE is such a big brand that nothing they do will hurt them in the short term. I don't watch WWE, but I know people will complain right now but still dish out the money when they have their next PPV. No different then how expensive seats have gotten, but people still pay and show up to live events.
