TBH, I would take NBA being back on NBC over WWE, but that's my opinion :manny:

On a serious note, NBC got hit with a big L here and I don't see it getting better for them as they was used as a stepping stone again for WWE to land on bigger platforms. While SmackDown is on USA Network with SNME on NBC till 2029, what are the chances of both leaving NBC platform once the contract ends? NBC still wants wrestling on their platform, WWE is giving them a bad offer when you think about it. NXT PPVs, AAA and TNA with the last one is a company they don't even own.

NXT is on the CW and with the PPVs still on Peacock, it would make sense if the CW makes an offer to get that. AAA would make sense if it was Universal+ (Latin America Peacock) as there's a bigger audience for that, than here in the states. TNA lastly is the odd ball here as this is mostly to appease NBC on getting done dirty as NXT PPVs and AAA won't be enough for them. However as mentioned in the last paragraph, TNA is their own company with their own parent company not named WWE nor TKO. Lets say that NBC entertains it then suddenly, Paramount and/or Amazon comes into the picture and says, "You ain't the only one who wants TNA, but we'll give them a better offer that the can't refuse."

Now you have to either entertain a bidding war or pass up on the offer which you lose out on NXT PPVs and AAA in return because WWE knows what you want and wants to run thru your pockets to give you what you want in return.

Edit:
Forgot to mentioned that if we take the rumors as face value, NBC is better off turning down the deal.

I don't think it's a bad deal at all. If you give me TNA & AAA with their library as well then that's enough for me to keep Peacock. I still say that it's the WWE that's ultimately taking the L here by moving their PLEs to ESPN, and the only positive is that it'll force banana nose to actually produce PLE level cards for a change.

wrestling is big but the NBA dwarfs it in popularity, any streamer would rather pay for NBA. The amount of advertising dollars alone makes it worth it to Peacock/Universal

Yeah if you think about it the results of major sports are also predetermined or heavily swayed by bias but thats another topic
Not to the extent or choreographed in the way that wrestling is.

In sports, you have athletes that can fukk up real time and crack under pressure that can affect the outcome of a game.

Changing the presentation of wrestling and putting it next to other actuals isn't going to change that for casuals.

Watch them start selling signature moves to brands now :laff:

"That's the State Farm DDT by Curtis Carter from NXT! :krs:"

"But he's NOT a good neighbor like State Farm, Cole! :damn:"

That slim Jim table shyt is one of the most shameless things they’ve ever done. And I’m knowing they are gonna go further.

I'm expecting Snickers logos on the chairs they use to hit each other with next with commentary screaming someone's having a Snickers moment when it happens
