This is a WOAT argument considering that same SHOULD apply to the NBA, NFL, NCAA football but their ratings keep expanding for the most part...
Those guys were still there at the top when the ratings started dropping. The lost of competition and bungling of the Invasion angle for sure is the reason they're in this position now. Which isn't terrible, they're still the world leader in pro wrestling and make money but a couple more slips and they could be hurting like that. The guys you're seeing on top now are basically people who made their names one the indies (modern day territories) who despite their look proved they could get over with crowds and put on great matches which means a little more nowadays than the past. The big muscle headed dudes WWE was working with in the mid 2000s either flamed out or left. They still try to push those types but if they suck like they usually do they move on.Stop...The WWF was always about larger than life wrestlers and/or larger than life personalities and pushing the envelope. The Rock, Austin, Hogan, Savage, Nash, DX, The Undertaker...could go on and on. Star power brings In the cash and makes for an exciting product. The Ratings don't lie. That's why they'll keep throwing out millions to part timers to keep the company afloat ...until hopefully they get hungry again and build better talent and better storylines. Buying WCW was the worst thing that could have ever happened to the wrestling business.
Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens killed the business![]()
fixedWWE is dying
The "flagship" show y'all![]()
Not exactly. At the very least you can watch Raw after it airs live and not feel a way about it. That'll never be the case with sports
Nope.
Those sports you mentioned, they are continually having/making new stars, there is always someone new on the scene in those sports to go with already established names and teams. Sport is unscripted and unpredictable. You should know, with the Lions going 0-16 that one time.
