I was waiting the whole match for Rusev to cause a distraction or something. At least it happened right as it went off the air.

Bascially. I think everybody knew this would be a set-up, but the execution of it was pretty bad. Your champion just took the cleanest loss ever, and your next feud has its continued build at 8:59.40. That made Jinder look like a loser, and Rusev not all that important to start a feud with.
