It literally makes no sense. Their ratings were actually higher when they were sticking to the brand split. I’m talking brand exclusive PPVs, talking smack, and the only interactions between both brands took place at Survivor Series. His favoritism towards RAW is so blatant it’s crazy, it’s like he doesn’t realize that if both shows are good then that means more money in his pocket. The brand split is quickly going the way of the 2000s split and Fox will cancel SDL in a hurry when Tyler Breeze vs Lars Sullivan is Main Eventing SDL.

IMO the best brand split was the original in 2002.

At first they were literally booking it as if they were in competition. Like nitro vs raw.
Some people who were stale were refreshed with new gimmicks. Traitors jumping ship to the other brand. fighting for free agents. New matches being introduced such as elimination chamber or Raw roulette . Midcard and heavyweight titles and tag belts being meaningful.

Now on raw and smackdown people just pop up whenever they want on either show
