WWE stock is currently down 8.70% after WWE released their strong Fourth Quarter 2015 earnings report, trading at $14.40 per share. Stock opened at $16.45 this morning.Vince McMahon referenced the drop in stock during the earnings call that's going on right now, noting that the company is happy with their record 2015 even though it appears investors are not.

The S&P and Dow are both down 2% this morning, the market is getting beat up in general. The WWE stock movementhas very little to do with its performance. At the moment, its down 6%. which, isn't ridiculous considering its still a growth stock.

Cokeboy on falling ratings

As noted, Vince McMahon is currently on a 2015 WWE fourth quarter earnings conference call, and during the Q&A portion of the call Vince spoke about current WWE TV ratings.

Vince explained that the company is not as worried about TV ratings as they once were, and he added that while WWE TV ratings might be down, they are not as down as other shows which air on the same networks as WWE programming.

Vince said people just aren’t watching as much TV as they used to, and while TV is still important to WWE, with all the social and digital content they now have, people are consuming content when they want to as opposed to when it airs on TV, which is very important to WWE.

Vince noted WWE used to “live and die” by TV ratings, but those days are gone, and we are in a new era of media.

Also can we stop giving too fukks on ratings and shyt.. seeing as vince ssid himself he isnt that worried anymore?

Jesus the talking points some of these idiots have to prop up their favorites is fading and fading :dead:

Well TBH, ratings can still be used to determine a wrestlers popularity in some instances. If Rock comes back and pops a big rating, it's obvious why. I think Cokeboy's point is that WWE has realized that TV ratings at the end of the day don't always correlate to the company's bottom line. But the fact that he panicked and put himself back on TV a little while ago when them shyts was really bad tells you they still matter.

Im not saying they dont matter but nikkas STILL use ratinga as if its 97...ratings now a days arent the same...shyt like 25 percent of the guys in the raw thresd beg for streams.

I just love making fun of hypocrites wgo use stats conveniently to prop up guys but ignore the stats of guys they dont like to justify why they dont deserve their jobs

Just say u dont like a nikka lol why tty snf use logic that gets dispelled everytime when u can just say u dont like s certain guy

Every defunct promotion is due to losing tv. The minute USA denotes that the hundred million dollar deal with WWE ain't worth it, and they can run Law & Order for the same ratings like Spike did with COPS/TNA, it's all bad for WWE.

But they dont because they see the money in ad revenue. Wwe is the only show regularly on late marketed to every member of the nuclear fsmily household

They market to pretty much every race around the world by featuring talent from everywhere. Once theg manage to build up a legit black main eventer, Japanese main eventer, etc. And keep them relevant they are money

If they didn't care about ratings then Vince wouldn't have pulled all the stuff he did at the end of the year.

Let them start getting 1.5s then we'll see if they spout out fans consume on their own time :sas2:

All this does is make me think of how shytty Raw was in 2015. Besides the couple piff episodes here and there and dope acts (New Day, Brock, etc.), 2015 Raw was strikingly terrible and boring

It was one of the worst years in WWE history, bar some really good moments it was mostly absolute shyt, still watch it though like the diehard neckbeard I am though :mjcry:
