too many people out here still think covid is a game and only affects the elderly and immuno compromised. A LOT of people in their 30s and 40s were taken out by covid during its peak. and they weren’t all overweight.

I know folks who still aren't vaccinated. I honestly don't get it.
You do NOT know how this brand new virus is gonna affect your body. You could be totally fine and not even get the sniffles. Or you could die from the virus itself or from complications from long covid.
Why take that chance?
And then you got the nerve to be unvaccinated and not wear masks on top of that?

I grew up on that attitude era so this new PG13 WWE just isn’t for me but that whole Wyatt Family campaign was the truth.

Most of the people who caught and died and are STILL dying from covid are Chinese. If their plan was to kill their own people then whoever was responsible in your scenario has succeeded.
If the goal was to severely damage the Chinese economy then they were successful as billions of dollars have been lost.
What SHOULD have happened is that instead of saying "let's wait and see" when doctors were dying trying to warn the rest of the world is that they should have immediately shut down travel to China, canceled group events, and made sure trade and travel would not resume until a vaccine was developed and most people had received a dose. The excess vaccines and recipe for making them would be distributed for free to the governments in the rest of the world.
But because there are companies that employ millions of people around the world and generate trillions of dollars for the top 5% of humans, they get to call the shots while they convince you that it's your politicians who are responsible.
In a world where governments regulate business rather than the other way around, what I described would have happened. Instead, we got delayed shut downs, patent protection from private business slowing the spread of the vaccine, people so desperate to get money to live that they were willing to hide their covid positive status and lie about being sick before dying and taking others with them.
Greed is what caused imperialism and the genocide of the America's. Greed is what motivated slavery. Greed is what motivated the civil war in America as these southern cacs wanted to spread slavery for more profits. Greed is what motivated the first and second world War. Greed is what caused this climate Armageddon that's about to get a huge chunk of humanity out the paint. Greed is what led to this pandemic and future pandemics to come. This shyt is light work(all you have to do is wash your fukking hands and keep your distance) compared to what is coming next(potentially airborne,easily transmissible and several times more deadly viruses). And as usual the lesson of the pandemic(essential workers should be paid more, medical system needs military budget level investment, more production needs to happen locally so we aren't dependent on other countries) will go unlearned. Why? Because of greed. Yet again.
