7 fantasy hardcore matches | WWE.com

There is a certain degree of spectacle behind most dream matches: Fans imagine potential WrestleMania main events and epic showdowns between everlasting icons that may have happened if time and space didn’t stand in the way.

These dream matches are not those kinds of dream matches.

Instead of headliners on The Grandest Stage of Them All, we pitted today’s Superstars against a rogues’ gallery of grunge-rock sadists, inbred brawlers, and one intelligent monster in the kinds of ghastly fistfights that could have occupied their own bizarre subsection of tape-trading websites during the late ’90s. And not only did we schedule the matches, but — because we’re serious nerds — we booked the venues, too. We dropped John Cena in the middle of the snakepit that was the ECW Arena in 1997, and sent Dean Ambrose to Japan’s Korakuen Hall — the site of history’s grisliest bloodlettings.

Yeah, we called them “dream matches,” but, in reality, these are nightmares.

An Ambrose vs. Cactus Jack in his prime feud would have been :wow:

I'd love to see the build to that match, just as much as the match itself. When Kevin Steen interviews guys on his show, a fan always asks if they'd face New Jack. A lot of them have said no. I wonder if Cena would have...

The stiffness. :banderas:

-Extreme Rules Match: John Cena vs. New Jack

"So here's the deal, New Jack. We've changed the plans. You're going over. However, we haven't told Cena or referee Scott Armstrong. Relay the message to him during the match...by any means necessary." :leostare:

-Dog Collar Match: Bray Wyatt vs. Raven

The promos. The mind games. :banderas:

Everything looks good except I don't really see the usos being much entertainment in a tlc match. Maybe the shield would've been better.

holy shyt at the idea of that last man standing match :wow:

cena vs new jack let's see, he beat the shyt out of a 70yo white guy, tased a 300lb white guy then threw him off a scaffold, slashed the shyt out of a white teenager with no remorse, even stabbed a middle aged white guy 14x times for stiffing him :dahell: someone fantasy is to see cena in the ring with a nikkka who has done all this shyt :patrice: even the wwe.com staff hate cena :laff:

If Cena went over New Jack there would have been an Al-Qaeda style execution in the middle of that ring live on PPV. Those ECW Mutants weren't like the smarks of today, those degenerates in Philly were really about that life.

I never understood all the hate for JBL, I thought he was a great heel :manny:
I'm Hispanic and I was very offended by his antics :troll:

But honestly I just wasn't feeling the WWE going from the Smackdown 6 era to JBL's sudden push. You're right though. Looking back, he was a great heel. I wasn't ready :manny:
