WCW/NWO was trash, it was ONE hot angle.

THREE HOURS OF MONDAY NITRO WAS INFINITELY MORE ENTERTAINING THAN THREE HOURS OF RAW, BROTHER! :wtb:

LWO
Wasn't even alive in the 80s so I can't speak on that, but the Attitude Era gave me more entertainment than WCW/NWO.
Granted I loved WCW at that moment, too. I often had trouble deciding which one to watch on Mondays.
Rock mocking DX in a promo on USA.
:ohlawd:
But Rey Mysterio vs Juventud vs Kidman for the cruiserweight title on TBS.
:damn:
Hardys vs Dudley's in an impromptu tag team title match on USA.
:whew:
Goldberg going for squash #576 on TBS.
:bryan:
It was a great time to be a pro wrestling fan, period.
I dunno if we'll ever get that magic back.

Was the ruthless agression era of the 2000's in contention? Might have gotten the least amount of attention from the mainstream compared to the 3 eras above but lowkey 2002-2008 had some decent matches. Same deal with the NWA/WCW 80s to early 90s era

How would you structure these eras?

WWF 80s (84-89...can we add 90-92 as well?)
New Generation was clearly 93-96
WCW/NWO I started this in 94 when Hogan came and the couple of years of WWF 80s in WCW and then 96-01
Attitude Era is clearly 97-01 (Primarily 97-99) but would you say 02-03 Ruthless Agression era or Attitude?

It was TNT, breh, Thunder was on TBS, but I feel ya. I'd watch 1 hour of Nitro before Raw started, then it was flip flop for 2 hours. Not until WCW's plank walk was it mostly on Raw the whole time. Pre-fall 1998, it was mostly Nitro, then it was pretty much a 50/50 split until the WCW death march. During the glory days, the overrun was literally back and forth every 2 seconds from Raw to Nitro. I'd be salty af if I messed the end to one, but I'd be :mj:when I perfectly timed the flipping to see both endings

"Stone Cold!! Stone Cold!! The rattlesnake!!! Stone Cold!!" *fade out*
*flip*
"We're out of time folks!!! We'll see you next week!"

My 1 friend would tape Raw while he watched Nitro, then watch Raw in its entirety, but I wasn't that hardcore a fan :whoa:

this
thats the biggest problem today is that its not marketed as a "sport" anymore
ill never understand why either

if i remember correctly during the WWF steroid legal trouble Vince in slick fashion coined it sports entertainment so he could avoid sports regulations and drug testing since most of them were roided or coked up:russ:

thats when Vince tried to destroy hogan before he bounced

When the Nwo kicked off and Hogan turned the world upside down in summer of 96, we all got together and ordered that. That's how big that match was because of the timeframe and shyt, no one was really checking for anything on the wrestling side coming off that horrible 95. When Hall started making it look like a war and the payoff was Bash at the Beach 96, EVERYBODY had to see that. There was no inbetween..it wasn't something you saw later. You had to see it go down LIVE. I ended up hearing about the Austin promo the next month and I always liked him from Stunning, Hollywood Blondes, and Dangerous Alliance days...he was my favorite behind Sting and Rick Rude in WCW. So I knew he would keep going forward..I loved him punking Bret and getting on his case because I NEVER was into that Bret Hart, Diesel, or "The boy toy" bullshyt. It was Razor and Taker..they were the bosses in the WWF and they always kept Bret from Undertaker his whole face run it seemed:laugh: Always thought that was odd. Razor was the fukkING MAN heading into 96. Had the best finisher in pro wrestling and the theme music was legendary.

So what was better? The Nwo vs Sting and the rise of Goldberg vs Austin vs Corporation/Vince and the rise of the Rock. I think 2000 in WWF was better than anything from the entire WCW run. I couldn't wait for Austin to get back because I was sick of the Cripple H shyt always from the jump a year previous.

I enjoyed the Attitude Era more but the first year of Nwo/Sting storyline was EPIC.

As for the 80s? It was easier to be over then but if you were a superstar, you were massive. Hogan, Macho, Warrior, Jake the Snake..huge. Jake the Snake was so fukking over, man:laugh: DDT chants were loud as fukk:laugh:
