HHH vs Ric Flair on Raw when HHH had bruised ribs.

And his match with RVD for his heavyweight title on Raw where he won with a fukking ddt on the entrance ramp

The ending SummerSlam '03 was wack as fukk. He buried the fukk outta Goldberg before he dropped the title to him the next ppv.

HHH was a major reason why RAW was unwatchable. I hated Evolution so much...only great thing about the faction was the theme. That's it

Always thought it was funny michaels comes back and triple h mustve convinced the old man to repent for his sins of the past and had michaels job out to him for a year and a half to almost 2 years

IMO, WWF got better at the end of '99... a good deal of '99 was terrible, starting at the buildup to Mania XV and we can roll all the way up to around SummerSlam. And then the talent that they signed or pushed up the card in late-99/early-'00... if you think that was a fall-off, I don't know what to tell ya.

Word shyt went the exact opposite of this thread. The first 6 months of 1999 is some of the worst wrestling TV I've ever seen.

I'm rewatching 97 Raws now, I'd rank it below 1998, because everything not involving Bret Hart and Austin was garbage. A few high points was the
ECW invasion, Mankind, Nation of Domination, Birth of DX (which was late 1997) and Hell in a Cell

Bret Hart was definitely MVP of 1997
the best promos he ever cut, best fued he ever had, and the most controversial wrestling moment in history

The funny thing is like 90% of those Raws would revolve around the Austin/Hart feud and the Undertaker saga because outside of that they had absolutly NOTHING. And then the Gang Warz

shyt outside of the main event scene didn't improve until later in the year when the New Age Outlaws came together and Rock joined the Nation

The problem with that period was that they wouldn’t commit to anyone as a top face for more than a month or so. It’s fine to have a long term top heel, but you need a long term top face if that’s the case. The show can’t center around a heel no matter who it is.

They both got the win over each other twice in that span . Shawn won at summerslam and survivor series in 2002 and La Nariz won at Armageddon 2002 and bad blood 2004.

I'm glad someone brought up the big show. These two clowns were relics where mic skills and just being present were good enough.

Triple H couldn't last unless he was in a stable and by Gawd he was in every single one.

He should be thankful he didn't have to speak during the Orton feud. He got over because of the personality of his opponents.

Its amazing how NXT has completely rehabilitated HHH's image and legacy....

People have just about forgotten how much of a over pushed political motherfukker he was during the mid 2000's.

I remember, because I would stop watching. There's only so much a person could take and they burned me too many times with the lackluster payoffs with the feuds we was in. If people hate you so much that they'd rather not watch when they know you really won't get your comeuppance then there's a problem.
