I wonder if any nfl will buy out the xfl player rights this season. It’s smart they have those lockdown contracts so they don’t bleed talent too quickly.

From what I understand an XFL is free to sign with NFL teams after the XFL season is over but they cant peel off before the season is done so I dont believe a scenario in which an NFL team buys the rights of an XFL player would be an issue

Gotcha. Xfl would’ve been really smart to hold exclusive rights to players for x amount of time to force nfl teams to buyout rights. Happens with international sports (soccer, Japanese baseball) all the time.

Except QBs so it will be dope moving forward when guys with NCAA problems hop straight into the XFL and blow up
