It's faithful enough but man watching these new attempts at "retro style" animation is such a jarring generational gap.
There's something about computer animation that just looks kinda cheap compared to hand drawn animation.
But the way I see it is, if Xmen was still on today it would probably look like this anyway. Just the way it is.

Scott was always a boss in the comics. He was the leader of a team full of goons and he had to keep Wolverine in check. They had to make him a square in other mediums to contrast Wolverine who exploded in popularity in the 90’s.Since when did Scott Summers become such a bad ass?
