No matter what you think of Wolverine, nobody can deny the characters popularity. Who the hell knows who Gambit is outside of the 90s cartoon? What non x-men book is gambit in? Wolvy is the face of the "x-men" franchise, like it or not.

Yes he can, he's from New Orleans. I think if done right he could be a great Gambit. Let's not act like we weren't as skeptical when Hugh Jackman did Wolverine, but now I can't see dude not playing Wolverine, he did a hell of a job.
