Vince loved Kid hell read Jericho's 2nd book he told Jericho get your ass over to X-Pac and have him come up with the match if you can't a good match with Pac you can't have one with anyone. He pretty much killed Shane's WWF career too in 95 because Douglas stunk it up vs the Kid. Kid went to Vince and said the guy doesn't have it.

I refuse to believe this is true

As painful as it is for dudes to admit now.....X-Pac actually showed a lot of promise in the ring in his early days

EDIT: think I mighta read that wrong.....you saying he was bad even back then, or nah? I'm not clear.....

Oh, heavens no. He came out of the gate crisp and technical - he was trained by the late Boris Malenko and Joe & Dean - and there was no excuse to have a bad match with him because he was another one of those guys who could have a good one with a 2x4. That's why Vince didn't have much esteem for Shane Douglas, he went out and crapped the bed in a match with the 1-2-3 Kid.

It's really disappointing that he ruined his career being drunk and high and inconsistent. But apparently he's a good eye for talent and good with the rookies.

You say that as if he was some 5th wheel...mothafukkka syxx was a founding member of the kliq and is THE tie between the WOLFPACK and DX. The og wolfpack promos in wcw where him hall and nash were shooting on flair, and piper were legendary. He had outstanding cruiserweight matches and was one of the few legit champs in nWo. The only one who held down both sides of the fence and stayed over in both nWo and dx.

He is an addict and goes through periods of sobriety but dont act like he doesnt belong in the kliq. .
I would suggest that the Kliq dates back to AWA 1986 (Rockers, Hennig, Hall, Rose, Somers, with Sherri as the OG Kliq Chick)

Marty and Curt woulda been kliq'd up in WWE if they were around more

But you make good points

Not even surprised. He wasn't that impressive in the ring.

Waltman is one of the best in ring workers of all time :dahell:

Yeah still doesn't answer it. All the other members outshined him. He's a hanger on at this point.

How are you a hanger on of something you helped create? :dahell:

And you wonder why I be on ya ass so much, for these flabbynsick type comments. :dahell:

Personal issues and lack of mic work aside, Pac made up for it by being a great wrestler. He didn't slack when the bell rang, ever.
Good Ol JR went out of his way to dap up Pac during the podcast with HBGOAT

Xpac was the goodwill ambassador of the Kliq, he was nice to everybody

Hurt his career prospects in my opinion, though

He suffered from the Dolph Ziggler syndrome - when you sell like the guy at the car lot at the end of the month, people want you around so they look good.
HBGOAT had the same problem in the early 90s, but he had more charisma and was smarter

X-Pac getting stuck in midcard hell at the height of the 'tude Era was a damn shame

He got the backlash before he ever really reached the top

Looking back at that 123 Kid vs Bret match for the Title, Pac was over as fukk. The fans viewed him as belonging in the ring against the champion. His cruiser weight run in WCW was great and doesn't get its due.

I can see the being too nice shyt as harmful.

I can't say X-Pac heat wasn't undeserved in his last WWE run, though. He was kinda like that one friend who makes a cute joke once and then never shuts up with it. His run with Kane was super adorbs, though. I love when Kane has a little buddy tag team partner.
