Black ppl, black men especially, need to drop this "play nice and be fair" mentality. I'm saying this becausenot only do i notice it offline but on social media as well. Even dudes that i know firsthand aren't religious men, suddenly start sounding really religious when the topic is about non black men/cops.
If someone were to talk to a bunch of diff white ppl privately, and ask them which race is the best race of all races, they will say theirs. The strong majority will. They won't say "well...i can't choose, everyone is equal"
But if you ask a bunch of random black people which race is the best race, you will get mixed answers. Some will say stuff like "i don't think any race is inherently better than the other, that's wrong, etc" Despite a lot of our bravado, underneath a lot of us won't think of ourselves as being the best, we always try to be fair, don't want to "hurt" another race (not even verbally, let alone physically) etc. That's another underlying reason that a lot of black ppl didn't want the shooter to be Micah. We care too much about other races feelings over our own. Not to mention, we give all our money to them, but that's a topic for another time.
Black ppl have to start seeing black as #1 in every way. I'm not talking about when it comes to stuff like rap, sports, etc i mean where it matters.
Many keep wanting to be accepted by other races. They see themselves as better, but instead of seeing ourselves as the same way, we desperately want them to treat us like they treat their own race. They'll never treat you the same as they treat their own. So stop begging. Stop speaking on their behalf, "it's just skin color, i don't see race, etc" yeah well tough, they don't see it the same way you do and never will. So what are u gonna do? Continue begging, or beat them at their own game (which would require competing, not begging to be liked)
Anytime a group competes with another, there is a chance they won't win, but imo it's better to try to compete than just keep begging the opposing side for help
Lastly, many of us glorify beef/violence between other black men but when the topic of violence towards white/non black men is brought up, suddenly it's "violence is not the answer", we should march, maybe if we don't upset the man he will start treating us like we're white
So many blacks sound like white ppl, saying that we're supposed to be "better than this", we should never "resort" to this, etc
