WWE goes out of its way to have a presence at Comic-Con, etc. I think somebody there at least has an inkling that "nerd culture" is the current mainstream. Probably not Vince though.

Outside of fictional cartoonish stuff, everything you do see in a movie can be done in real life. The idea behind video games is to allow you to do that fictional cartoonish stuff that you could never do in real life. And considering a lot of games have better writing, action and dialogue than some movies (and its free), some people will watch others play to get a similar experience that they would from a movie.
