harder is relative but targeting 60fps does come at a cost. it can be harder or easier depending on what they choose to sacrifice to hit the mark, and depending who's looking at it

youre right though, it needs to targeted from the beginning or near the beginning. before too many dependencies are implemented

It may be difficult to make sacrifices, but there is no inherent difficulty in developing a 60fps game.


That's just the dev trying to excuse themselves for not hitting 60 after hyping it up as the end all be all when they were selling TLOUR. Had they truly wanted a 60fps game they would have it. But they probably couldn't put in the drake chest hair simulation. So they chose to not go for 60.

They should just be honest about it:manny:

Whether it's 30fps or 60fps, Uncharted 4 is only gonna be good for one single player playthrough and thats it. :yeshrug:

The current larrybox situation is that it still has the best looking and only LOCKED 60fps game on consoles.:ufdup:

Put it this way.

You always have a limited amount of power. Its no more difficult to use that power for higher framerate, than it is better "graphics". Its a choice devs have to make.
