The Cell processor is not going to be in the PS4. Sony is using an AMD graphics card in the PS4, they used an Nvidia one in the PS3. That is the rumor as to why Gaikai was purchased by Sony because hardware wise, the PS4 can't do it, they will stream PS3, if it is possible. PS4 isn't playing PS3 games, don't believe me, search the internet.

And this is why MS exclusives as they stand can't even be mentioned in the same breath as the Sony stable. "Timed exclusives are the new exclusives" isn't a false statement but it perfectly captures micrososfts attitude towards exclusives. They feel they don't need a stable of games that will be exclusive to their system for any longer than a year. And when it's that vs the output of sony's internal studios, I'll pick the latter every time. Thankfully that's not the only factor in gaming and I'm sure reasons other than exclusives to want a 720.
I think he hit the nail on the head with the BC issue. Going away from cell CPU will make it almost impossible to allow ps3 bc. Expect a lot more "remakes" instead

Not going to happen. Architecture is way too different to pull off. Cell technology is far different than the PC tech that Sony is going to use for the PS4. This has nothing to do with courtdog, just follow what has come out about the consoles. They aren't going to put PS3 hardware inside of the console like they did with the launch version of the PS3 and PS2 hardware. That's why I bought my OG PS3 on launch date.
Halo is still good even now. And Gears is pretty good too. And of course Forza. Aaaannd that's about it. Gears and Uncharted both feel like they need a break. The difference is Sony directly and indirectly allow their studios to take that break. So naughty dog is working on last of us, insomniac is working on sly instead of infamous, mM is working on tearaway, they opened a new studio that made PSABR. Meanwhile at microsoft, they probably drove the main creator of fable away, they lost bungie and Epic lost CliffyB. You can't convince me those are all coincidences. Sony provides a developer ecosystem and MS just throws money at stuff.
I own the Killzone trilogy and two of the resistance games.
Halo easily trumps them and it didn't go through a massive identity change between sequels like these series did.
And I also own the Uncharted Trilogy and the Gears Of War trilogy.
Two very different but similar titles that can (and should be...) mentioned in the same breath as each other.
The ps3 is great but to act like there aren't third party titles or exclusives to the other platforms that aren't just as great is to potentially ignore fantastic experiences.
