The controller gets functionality and firmware updates. I'm never updating again tho I will tell u that. Lol. It all worked out cause I have the better controller now.

Me too. Lol. I only had mines since the end of July.

The console bricked my controller. U can update ur controller on Xbox one and when I tried to update the controller stopped working. Won't even cut on.
