We are far from diminishing returns. Cats must have forgot what PS3 launch titles like Resistance looked like compared to what we have now.

About 2ys ago, I recall Liquid and a few other PC "cool guys" made this claim. They must of read that at nerdfest.org or some shyt, and it probably is talking about how PC games will not improve that much from where they have been over the last few years. Battlefield 3 for instance looks like real life if you have a powerful enough PC. Thats what they ran with, on consoles getting to that point would be a bigger leap than from PS2 to PS3.
And we will have even better than that by the end of this gen so yeah... thinking that was retarded on there part.

The campaign was one of the dopest FPS campaigns I've ever played

It had a great pacing, wasnt just setpiece-to-setpiece like those newer CoD titles

COD 2 campaign >>> IMO but even those games had set pieces bruh.
I take it you didn't have the original Xbox? It had way more FPS's than PS2 had and even the multiplat ones were completely different.

This gen tried to continue that, but the FPS scene was much better last gen. There wasn't a need to copy cat COD. Everyone had there own style and they all was great. PS Heads only had Socom and thought nothing could touch it. Campaign still hasn't been touched, online was pretty standard. But on xbox, games like Ghost Recon and Rainbow 6 was like

You know how games are great, then by the time you on pt.3 it starts to lose its luster? If you can agree with that, then you can see why I'm saying last gen was better than this gen for shooters (Story Tru)

Cod 2 looked way better but id still say cod 1 had the best campaign, every level was on point & had great pacing

but everything else is spot on

Halo got old after Halo 3

Gears got old after Gears 2 for me but Gears 3 for most people

Resistance got old after the first tbh the second was alright

Killzone 2 was good but I wasnt really too excited for the 3rd one

Im excited for shadow fall though.
