Multiple things on screen = too much information for me. It's like something for people with ADD. If I'm watching a game, playing a video game or watching a movie, its usually to relax and entertained. For me, a lot of this would be a strain on the eyes and brain. I understand why someone would want it but I'd start feeling scatterbrained. Of course, it's good to have options but I think I would end up not really utilizing that feature.

the second screen is perfect for college football or NFL while you're watching a ton of games. One day this will allow the TV picture to completely rule the screen again. This would be perfect for racing. A lot of us racing fans already use apps or follow timing, radio and other info. More integrated would be pretty nice.

Anyone who says that they wouldn't want this built into their existing gaming machine is a fukking liar.

It's like buying a luxury car and not springing for the built in navigation system....

"bbb bb b b but but but I already have a Garmin that suctions itself to my dashboard"

A lot of the time I might be playing a ps3/360 game on the TV, watching a nba/mlb/nfl game or a tv show on my iPad via my Slingbox Player app, and browsing the web with my laptop and holding down a conversation via text message/email on my phone.

People complaining about having the option to do everything on one screen is :mindblown:

If you need to make up excuses as to why you don't need the XBOX One or this feature what are you doing in this thread?

I NEVER do that shyt on my pc and I've had this option for YEARS.

Your PC isn't attached to a 120 inch projector. My XBOX One will be. Trying something like this on a 24" inch monitor is :flabbynsick: that's why you're probably not using the feature. And if you have multiple monitors setup on your PC than you are using this feature.

This XBOX One integration will be game changing. :whew:

Sidenote: My multiple monitor setup on my Desktop PC has spoiled me. Until there is true multi-monitor support on gaming consoles this will be the next best thing.

Terrible analogy.

It's more like the equivalent of putting a DVD screen in your steering wheel and using it to watch movies/TV.

That's cool. Problem is that Microsoft is charging $500 for something gamers (their target audience) are not happy with.

Other folks will look at this like :ehh: but i already have a roku/appletv/something else that i watch tv on and didn't cost me $500

This was kinda what I was thinking.

Sure the X1 has these cool features, hell the 360 has a lot of cool features too, but I doubt those were selling points to anyone that bought one and I see the same thing happening with the X1.

Lets be real, X1 is a gaming console at its core and it's going to be extremely hard for MS to break that stigma from the broader audience that they are trying to sell to.

Unless the X1 can do something NEW, BETTER and CHEAPER then what people already have in their homes I doubt any of this will be a selling point.

Ill give you an example: The PS3's Blu-Ray

NOW THAT IS A SELLING POINT.

It was NEW - Blu-Ray were just coming out.

It was BETTER - Blu-Ray + Gaming System

It was CHEAPER - Cheaper then any other standalone blu-ray player at the time. :lawd:

People were buying PS3's for the Blu-Ray ALONE!!! :whew:

Hell my :old: grandparents bought one just for that.

Hopefully y'all can see where I going with this.

PS3 1up'd them then and they're about to 1up them now. :snooze:

EDIT: Also MS thought HD DVD was the future and we all know what happened there :mjpls:
