Honest question. Because some of these responses are just stupid as fukk. Please explain to me why your current setup is so much of a hassle to change inputs and video feeds to where you need to where you've been so inconvenienced all of this time.

Explain to me how I can be notified that a game is getting close late so I will know to change inputs.

It's not about watching tv and gaming "at the same time" it's about having all of your living room entertainment connected and instantly available to you.

For example. You're flipping through channels and nothings on. You get a game invite from your friends. In the past you wouldn't know about this invite until you decided to turn your console on the next day. With Xbox One you will be notified immediately, and since you don't have to worry about switching discs, no matter what game they invite you to, you can jump directly into the lobby and start playing.

Example 2: your watching the lakers game, they're getting blown out so you decided to play halo. Halfway through the 3rd quarter Kobe gets hot, you get an alert and instantly switch back to the lakers game. When the game is over Halo is sitting and waiting exactly where you left off

There are plenty more examples to go over, but I think you get the point now.

Ok your reasoning for purchase is already set. If I have to wait for an invite from a friend on Xbl to change my mind about T.V please shoot me.

To me, the only real thing that will hurt MS with One vs PS4 is the sticker price.

$100 extra to a lot of people is way too much just for their kids to play games. So it's really up to MS marketing to show to adults the other aspects of the system that they might use.

They have to take a page out of the Samsung Galaxy marketing strategy, when they compared what Galaxy III/IV can do that the IPhone couldn't do, and highlight what One can do that PS4 can't. Those advertisements were extremely effective.
