How many of you have a receiver?

:dwillhuh:

Honest question. Because some of these responses are just stupid as fukk. Please explain to me why your current setup is so much of a hassle to change inputs and video feeds to where you need to where you've been so inconvenienced all of this time.

Explain to me how I can be notified that a game is getting close late so I will know to change inputs.

The machine plays games too. Many of them that won't appear on the PS4. This is nothing but adding value.

It was a question that required an opinion as a response. You got an answer. You just didn't like his opinion.

:what:

I didn't get an answer. I asked how many people have a damn receiver and he brings up getting game notifications while he's playing a video game.

:wtf:

This is the point where I leave this thread and never come back.

The Arcadium is officially getting too stupid for me.

The price, used game policies, always-online, DRM...

But shiiiiit, if I cop a One it'll let me know my team cut the lead to 3 with 30 seconds left while I'm in the middle of a multiplayer match

:gladbron:

The price difference can be made up if their marketing strategy is done well. The features make up the price difference.

DRM -- sooner or later, other game consoles are going to do the same thing. We are headed that way. Publishers want this. Also if there is no need to manufacture discs and cases, the games will be less expensive.

Always online -- I'm always online and so is everyone else. If you're not, then you lost. Possibly the dumbest criticism:pachaha:

This system obviously changes the status quo and people are not always receptive to change.

A lot of the time I might be playing a ps3/360 game on the TV, watching a nba/mlb/nfl game or a tv show on my iPad via my Slingbox Player app, and browsing the web with my laptop and holding down a conversation via text message/email on my phone.

People complaining about having the option to do everything on one screen is :mindblown:

If you need to make up excuses as to why you don't need the XBOX One or this feature what are you doing in this thread?

I'm not complaining about having the option to do everything on screen and it does look nice. Ir's not me making up excuses up not to buy the Xbox One. I feel like it would be something I wouldn't use much so it wouldn't make much of a difference for me in whether I bought it or not. The responsiveness of it is nice as well. Looks clean and everything.

More options/features = good. If I hardly ever use them, then those features/options practically don't exist.

Only pointing out that for some people including myself, it's not much of a difference maker.

You really coming off as a jackass in this thread.

You trying to clown because someone is interested in features you don't care about? It's completely unfathomable to you that some people would like to keep up with sports while playing games?

Ill probably watch tv through the console too so people can invite me to games. But again I'm sure you see no reason why anyone would like that either.

I can't understand why anyone would hate all these dope features that come with their gaming system. When you guys shop for appliances, electronics, etc, wouldn't you want to get something that has multiple features if it's available?

Is that salma Hayek in your avi? Where is the rest of that vid?

It's a nice feature to have available to you. Definitely can't hurt. I would be alot more excited if they told me I didn't need to have cable and could still do all of this. Also, I'm not gonna turn on my console for the sole purpose of watching TV, unless it's netflix or streaming a movie download from my PC.

You got an answer to the second part of your question. You wanted to know why it was inconvenient to switch inputs through your receiver and I gave you a scenario where it would be.

I'm not going to get into the obvious negatives to the shyt mentioned. I'll just let you believe that all of those things won't matter when it comes to this upcoming generation.
