Who said that? You try to hard to starve bruh. This is about an app that makes it so you don't need a cable box. Now, if you have a cable box already? No need for the app. The app probably doesn't let you access on demand/etc. (maybe it does). If you paid for your cable instead of your mom, you'd know they charge you about $10 a month for that box. So this app saves a nikka $100+ a year :umad:
They need to add a dvr feature asap
They can't yet for cable because of copyrights n shyt. But live OTA (TV Tuner) it is allowed. And they just allowed the TV tuner to come to America so you can DVR live TV that way. Otherwise, you would need to get that service from your cable provider. Microsoft is working on a way, but the cable companies are the ones who have delayed it from happening...
I'll give it this. Its a nice way to circumvent getting 1 more cable box. shyt add up the more you have.

Does Time Warner have data caps? That's the only downside.
Bruh, you really behind on this shyt. No cable company is gonna throttle your shyt because of a gaming system. They are aware of what you download and for the most part don't care. They have the right to throttle if you pass their limit (usually 250gb) but they only enforce that when they feel you trying to get over on them. In my case, I was a cord cutter and rocked internet TV. At the end of the day, they was still hitting me for close to $100. It was $70 but they would throttle my shyt. They said if I paid $10 more it wouldn 't happen. After taxes.. same price as I pay now with cable/tv/phone. Well, I pay $20 more, but I have every channel so :manny:

I also download any movie/music I want. And programs. No throttle issues. Food for thizzle.
I've used Cox, Comcast and now Verizon. Same with all three

doesnt make sense to me. A standalone tivo does the same shyt, and they dont sue them. I can get a VCR and record shows without worry too. MS needs to stop fukking around.

Hell, they should offer their own stream service. Pick and choose which channels you want, and that's that.

Its not funny, its fukked up. You download 5 games, they'll see you downloaded 5 games from PSN/XBL and wont trip
You download 250gb of TV and you don't have cable? They see what you doing, they get their cut or they throttle. And it makes sense, I'm a lil salty but not even mad at them for it :manny:
Never in my life had a throttle issue til I "cut the cord" tho.

Yes, alternative exist. But who you know with a Tivo :stopitslime:
Cable came out with DVR killing off the need for a Tivo when you can get a Tivo from the cable company basically. Tivo also charges you for their services, bet you didn't know that huh man

https://www.tivo.com/buytivo/tivopriceplans/items/plandtls_S00032_ajaxpopup.html

They charge you $15 a month, then $13 a month after a year. Thats after you buy the Tivo device which usually runs like $200.

So, why the hate on Xbox you say? Well, Xbox has deals in place with these cable companies which is why you see all the cable shyt on Xbox and not on playstation. And these same companies are not happy with the XB1 being able to basically undercut them and their DVR service. So they are currently negotiating a deal with them. They couldn't even get approval for Free TV til recently. Has something to do with the way America runs things (money hungry) But Microsoft said something should change THIS YEAR for both. One down, one to go :win:
