Phones are different than consoles,
and the Xbox is designed to sit inconspicuously under your tv for 10 years. I think it accomplishes that goal. Big, quiet, and stable. The kids won't be knocking this one off the tv stand.

No it don't. This is a console not a phone which you handle many times a day.looks matter
Nobody is arguing that looks matter more.Quietness and reliability matter more.
Looks only matter in online fanboy arguments
lol, looks matter. I'll just leave it at that.No it don't. This is a console not a phone which you handle many times a day.
so looking good while being reliable and quiet shouldnt be applaudedQuietness and reliability matter more.

Really? Not one person will walk into best buy and choose a console based on the way it looks. That's nonsense.
Being a fan and follower of video games for 20 years with countless broken consoles. I'd much rather buy a console that's built for longevity as opposed to one that's built for style.
The average consumer won't care either way.

It's about design philosophy. One was built for longevity, the other was built for style.
the thing is massive, has separate add ons and that massive power brickso are you saying that "big" is where tech has been heading and this design is forward thinking? Are you sure they said "hey, we want this thing huge as this is where tech is heading" ...is that what you are saying here? It sure looks that way....

360 certainly wasn't a reliable system, and that shyt can be loud as fukk too. i see your point now meechumReally?
Yes really.
I know your gonna bring up 360 but you know what, they fixed it for free.
I've probably had 7-8 Sony consoles go bad on me over the years and I've always had to replace them myself. I've had one Microsoft console go bad on me and they fixed it for free.
For the new gen Microsoft has detailed plenty ways they are working to make sure the Xbox is reliable. I have not heard Sony mention one thing about reliabilty, or safegauds built into their console to prevent overheating.
