Through all the residual animosity towards Microsoft, I think a lot of this is being missed. After all the talk of being for the gamers, it's Sony that has taken the more closed "anti-consumer" stance.
They got that price down to only $400 but its obvious they plan to make that money back through forcing people to spend money on their other media services. It's also obvious that from a functionality standpoint the PS4 in some ways is lagging behind the PS3 let alone the X1
It's funny to watch Sony stans defend this shyt(which I'm sure y'all will do in this thread) after months of standing on principled arguments about big bad Microsoft trying to take advantage of the industry.

Playstation 4
Xbox One
- Will not support CDs
- Will not support MP3s
- No capture cards at launch
- If you lend someone a game, he downloads it, and then later decides he wants to get the game digitally, he must delete the disk version that he downloaded, buy it online, and then download the game again from the PSN.
- Mandatory install for all disk games
- No DNLA support
- Can only listen to songs from Sonys "music unlimited" in the background while playing a game.
- can play CDs
- can download/install any MP3s you own to your Xbox Music folder, and listen to music from xbox music
- Will support Capture Cards at launch
- If you lend someone a game, he downloads it, plays it, and wants to buy it for himself, he can simply purchase a licence for the game from XBL and does not have to redownload it.

- Will have DLNA support.
- Xbox One users can listen to music in the background while playing a game or doing something else with Xbox Music.

Sony stansand the bolded is an underrated feature. It means i can buy physical games install them and then not need the disc anymore. So I won't have to download a bunch of 50GB files after all
