Everyone "turned" on Xbox during the very same Xbox 360 era. The beloved 360 era isn't even an era they "won" The narrative hard shifted to MS doing MS things with gamers and media feeling like the Xbox 1 was about everything but games, and wanting you to check in online and buy games digitally...plus spying on you with the kintec.Perception they caused themselves

Fast-forward to 2026, and Sony offers movies in their subscription service, your controller can listen to you, and you need to check in online.
Real talk it seemed like what we said years ago about MS not being interested in their gaming division enough to put real money and time towards projects. No reason you buy all of those studios and not have a Elder Scrolls sequel, no fall out sequel, no new first party ips post buyout, etc. Plus someone that probably doesn't play games at corp MS probably thought Netflix for gamers were going to be a new thing and only saw dollar signs not understanding the way gamers consume games and their own player base. Oh well at least we will get some competition in the 3rd party publisher b space until they pull the lpulg
