Xbox Scorpio vs PS4 Neo

The fact that Microsoft actually shocked Sony with releasing the info on the scorpio is very good. And I mean good for gaming, Sony is way to comfortable, just a month or so ago 90 percent of this forum was ready to spend money on a ps4.5 and VR basically about a grand or so.

Now they have to weigh there options whether they want to or not.

Sony now has to either make a move, do they just drop the neo as a mini upgrade and glide with games for the next 4 years or so or do they drop the neo then 2 years from now announce the ps5?


Its getting interesting, with two new system dropping in 2017 and nothing from sony, they dont even have a flagship game to look forward to in 2017

Isn't the PS4K rumored to be 399? If they drop it early 2017, and it delivers 1080p/60fps at that price point, Sony is still in a great position. It's not like they would release it alongside Scorpio


Unless Xbox's new console is comparable in price then they'll be in different markets anyway.

Why can't it be feasible if the system gets pushed back? That's what would need to happen.

It would be scrapping months/years of R&D and millions of dollars. And adding another multimillion dollar R&D process. And shipping well after the competition.

That's not a very feasible course of action just to win the spec war.

I do agree that 4k30 would be more realistic, but WTF is 2k?

In fact the difference between 720p and 1080p is minuscule in comparison.

2k would be somewhere in between 1080p and 4K

bro you gotta understand something xbox dropping scorpio is not gonna make ps4 heads switch teams or make them nervous or anything else the only thing it's gonna do is make them stfu about this 1080 p 60fps bullshyt and that's until they drop their system that might have better specs...you gotta understand as much as we all love xbox playstation was here first and we all had playstations way before xbox was even thought about....we prob even called it the best system ever...sony dont gotta do nothing because sales wise ms won't catch up and they have alot of great SP games coming up they got nothin to be nervous about im just being real...you think those 20 mil ps4 heads that dont have an x1 gonna switch sides or cop a x1 scorpio just cuz it's more powerful ? or PC nikkas that can build better gaming rigs than ps4 and x1 ? nah man you buggin....it's the games that talk bro sony got a 21 year run under their belt an upgraded system without any games that interest ps4 fans are not gonna make them jump ship....

You're assuming the system can't be delayed and re-engineered still. Would it cost? Of course, but it's not a last minute change for something that's about to go into mass production. It's still early enough in the game to delay the NEO release.

It also wouldn't be shocking if Scorpio doesn't release next year either and gets pushed to 2018. If it drops next Holiday season at an unreasonable price, that would not be good.

The primarly resolution between 1080p and 4K is 2560x1440. Most TVs aren't doing that resolution. It's 720p, 1080i, 1080p, 3840x2160(4k).

To be honest to all gamers who is looking forward to 4K gaming please save yourself and get a PC. Take that money and invest into a device that will last you long term.

You can hook up the PC to the TV and play which is what I do when I dont fee like gaming on my ultrawide screen and want 4K.

I mean Pc is better completely, SD drives Mods better features and relaible. These gamers throwing away money supporting these companies.

Pretty much. But if Scorpio's too high, I'll still have to stick with NEO for 3rd party multiplayer games since other cats won't have the Scorpio who I play with. (nikkaz on here for the Madden, MLB league, Shooter games, etc.).
