That's what it is by the numbers.
They needed to shoot for 100x then

But then again, playing BF4 PS3 vs BF4 PS4, maybe it ain't all ducktales. I dunno. Just expected more I guess for 10x
That's what it is by the numbers.

It probably is, because when you factor in the processing power that is going on for the console to always be recording and maintain the game's framerate... that couldn't be done on PS3.No way in hell is the PS4 10x more powerful than the PS3. I can look at the games and say that confidently.
10x is a MAJOR cyse man.
edit: I'm reading some of these articles stating it's 10 to even 16x more powerful. Doesn't look like it to me or I'm expecting too much.
Ok, well if this is the case, Sony doesn't need to panic at all.No
No
Yes

OkOk, well if this is the case, Sony doesn't need to panic at all.
Essentially, Microsoft will be pushing 3 versions of their console for this generation.
-Xbox One
-Xbox One S
-Xbox Scorpio
Correct me if I'm wrong, but the One S is really just a redesigned Xbox One slim right? They aren't upgrading the GPU/CPU right? For Sony, they'll be pushing just 2 consoles when they drop NEO... whether it's end of this year or early 2017.
The way it looks to me, is that Scorpio will be the enthusiast's pick, depending on the price of it... will determine if it phases out the Xbox One/S.
It's already been reported that everything will work on PS4 and NEO... the OG PS4 will drop in price, shyt will probably be 200-250 bucks when NEO arrives.
NEO going to be 399 from what I've seen (taking a page out of Apple's when they drop a new iPhone).
As it stands, NEO and the One S are the same price, and NEO will be more powerful. Again, it depends on pricing, but I don't see Scorpio impacting Sony's plans with NEO because they aren't planning on releasing them at the same time. It's not going to like a Nintendo thing, where they purposely release a weaker console at the same time as their competitors.
NEO will be at a very good price point, and deliver 1080p/60fps on consoles far sooner than Microsoft will be able to do it.
And if Scorpio isn't going to be a full fledged next gen console, and it's just there for 4K and VR exclusive features/content, it's going to be hard sell if the price is too high.
Sony doesn't have to budge and jump the shark because of this announcement. They should just use the Scorpio's release for themselves to see how bad people are willing to get into this 4K movement.

Word for word exactly what I was about to post.

I'm just saying, if your answers to my questions are true then Scorpio's only incentives for the consumer to cop is for VR and playing games in 4K.
I think the mid-upgrade is intriguing for enthusiasts, for the bump in performance. 1080p/60fps is the reason I would cop it. Better quality for recording/streaming gameplay would be a reason I'd look into it also... I do not care at all about PSVR or VR in general, and I don't have a 4K TV yet.
That's exactly what they said when they announced it.
PS Neo is the same
It's called the PS4k.I think the mid-upgrade is intriguing for enthusiasts, for the bump in performance. 1080p/60fps is the reason I would cop it. the thing that is hurting and still disappointing is the fact that TV and Cable are still not using 1080p for broadcasting. It's disgusting at this point.
We talking 4K and shyt but the big broadcasters and media companies still using 720p and 1080i. That's rediculous. The faster they adopt (which ain't happening unless they are forced to), the better. Netflix doing 4K can't do it all.
And you notice those businesses and concept of television is out of the window now. They don't want to build the infrastructure but they will have too. Get left in the dust brehs.
Not the same thing if one option is 399 and the other is 599.It's called the PS4k.
The focus will be be 4k. They've already given devs scaling instructions on how they should achieve 4k.
If you'd buy the PS4K for higher framerate, then the same can be said for Scorpio.
pretty much. Outside of live sports, I use Hulu, Netflix , and KODI for everything
You don't know what the prices are, and the two cards in the systems are not $200 apart. Not the same thing if one option is 399 and the other is 599.
Well we do know Scorpio will be more than NEO right? You don't know what the prices are, and the two cards in the systems are not $200 apart.
