:what: nikka the consoles are structured like laptops and have basically laptop variants of the bigger components. Of course they punch above their weight class because shyt is coded to the metal on them. But they are basically underclocked for thermal reasons. So 12Teraflops on console isn’t the same as 12 Teraflops on a desktop GPU. There’s a lot of shyt that factors into GPU power. Not only Teraflops. All I’m saying is wait for the hands on before ODing when y’all make these statements.
No.....12TF on Console is 12TF's.
Ps4 & Xbox One have desktop GPU's but Laptop CPU's.
So they run as they should with no throttling or thermal issues like what The Switch has or
what's typically seen in Laptops or Phones where performance profiles change depending on heat, power source etc.
They'll maintain their performance profile with no degradation because that was considered prior to manufacture.

These GPU’s are downclocked fam. That’s why there’s no throttling or thermal issues. 12TF is 12TF but they mean different things based on the implementation and architecture. 12TF for AMD isn’t the same as 12TF for Nvidia. So 12TF doesn’t tell the whole story. A 12TF Radeon GPU is getting washed by a 12TF Nvidia GPU. As of right now.

You keep repeating this dumb shyt, but nobody is comparing AMD Tflops to Nvidia.

The comparison is AMD to AMD. Going from 6tflops to 12, we can kinda deduce what performance to expect out of Series X.

No fukkboi. U comparing AMD Teraflops to an NVIDIA 2080ti. Which is stupid. I said wait to see everything before u jump the gun. The console could underclock the GPU to keep temps stable and this is AMD. A company known for having component thermal issues. Let’s see the FULL specs and real world performance before we jump the gun. If it’s close to a 2080ti. I will gladly eat my words and shut the fukk up.

No, never did that. That’s what you keep doing.

I’ve only compared AMD flops to their own.

and again we have the spec. They know the power and thermal needs for their system. That’s the point of it being a closed box. 12TF is what the chip will achieve.

This “underclock” nonsense you made up from your ass.

They need to allow ultrawide support in console games at least if you're connected to one. Y'all don't know how good that shyt is :wow:

Best case scenario would be if they both are damn near equal.

Then, we could just judge them on their membership features, games and overall value to the gamer.

I will cop a PS5 day one if they come through with some tactical type exclusive multiplayer options. (that's why I like Xbox b/c of Halo, Gears and Xbox live)

Now, if Socom is brought back from the dead...:wow:

Either way, Series X is day one for me no matter what as I've stated before.

Edit:

Also, fukk 8K. I don't even want to hear about another level of resolution that'll limit these console's ability to really maximize and perfect a current and viable resolution.

4k and 60fps or better and I'm good.

4k60 needs to be standard. That bullshyt they pulled this gen should not be tolerated no mo.

I think Sony really is 9 TFLOPs but that shyt dont mean nothing look at what they done with 1 and a half this gen.

AMD is partnering with Microsoft with that RDNA 2 chip which is their new technology which may be included in the new Surfaces as well.

The AMD analyst day is with Mcirosoft this week and rumors point to Cloud Ray Tracing and Microsoft will discuss RDNA 2. So we will probably see series X gameplay this week.
