As most of you should know by now, Microsoft is in bed with the NFL.
They fukkin :manny:
And the million dollar question is will the Xbox One offer Sunday NFL Ticket
When asked, they never give a clear yes/no. Which means NO until something can legally be worked out.
With that said, there are loopholes in the deal the NFL has with Direct TV :shaq:

I made a thread on how everyone can eat off this, trying to share the wealth
Madden's TV Offer is the Deal That Dares Not Speak Its Name

But then I just ran into something that puts all this into its proper perspective. And fans of the sony side of thangs? Well, you not gonna be all too happy you heard :mj:

On everybodies dashboard on xbox there is a little advertisement showing Madden25. You click on it, it takes you to the sports hub they got. Then if you click it again it takes you to Amazon.com page where you can buy the bundle that the Kotaku ad is talking about. Everyone eats :ahh:

So as I do a little futher inspecting before its my time to shine, I peep something that makes the deal that much more sweeter :smugfavre:
The page is here
https://www.amazon.com/gp/feature.html?docId=1001215841
At the bottom, it has this pic
image1.jpg

And that pic is directed towards one group of gamers...
Can I watch NFL Sunday Ticket on my PS3 by purchasing the Anniversary Edition?

No, this only provides access to NFL Sunday Ticket on computer, tablet, and mobile devices
.
Word on the strip is, that X-do everthang-box is built on a windows 8 kernal thus technically making it a "computer"

To put this into perspective The-Coli.com presented by :umad:
On Xbox One, you can essentially have Sunday Ticket this year for $40
It is what it is, don't hate the messenger.
And to add insult to injury, your fantasy stuff will still work with this feature.
Oh snap!!! (pun intended)

Hell
Thank you Microsoft :blessed:

Not only do you provide dedicated servers, you give us more ways to watch NFL :noah:

I always wanted to watch the game while I play halo (insert number) :ohlawd:

This is such a groundbreaking feature because my TV doesn't have picture-in-picture capabilities in the year 2013!

I mean, real football fans have the Sunday ticket already with their cable provider, but its okay because this just shows that we have more non gaming related features :noah:

:piss: Sony

doesnt the ps3 already have sunday ticket? thats a rhetorical question, because i know it does. even if the amazon page says that (sunday ticket mobile said that last year too), the same sunday ticket code works on the ps3 (or it did the last 2 years from my experience)

Yes.

The promotion is really geared towards those who can't get DirecTV to get Sunday Ticket access. Also the Sunday Ticket max is usually an extra 50 or 99 dollars in ADDITION to Sunday Ticket access. It allows you to watch on anything other than your TV basically.

The PS3 app allows those without Directv to watch it on their TV by paying the Sunday Ticket price.

You dumb ass, The Sunday Ticket app still will work on the PS4.

Try harder bruh.

You dumbass, everybody don't have Sunday Ticket or Direct TV a$$hole
You wanna sing kumbaya when the topic is Xbox One Always online, but when it comes to This crucial deal its "fukk everybody else, I GOT SUNDAY TICKET ALREADY"

Nah bruh :umad:

Maybe you didn't see the big ass letters but THIS DEAL IS NOT COMPATIBLE WITH PS3 SUNDAY TICKET which means THE MAJORITY OF GAMERS AKA GAMERS WHO DO NOT ALREADY HAVE THIS FEATURE?

Only Xbox gamers can eat off this deal (Story Tru)
And this deal works on Xbox 360 as well, not just Xbox One
How I know?
Well I'd show you, but for some reason when I go to Xbox.com it takes me to its china based website :wtf:

nikka, I have had Sunday Ticket and Sunday Ticket max for 9 years now. :beli:

What you are getting is the app to watch it on pcs, tablets, phone. You are not getting the Sunday Ticket APP to watch it fullscreen on your TV numnuts. You either have to have DirecTV or the PS3 app (the shyt where you pay hundreds). Now you can output the image from your laptop if you have an HDMI out on your laptop to your TV, but the image quality takes a hit of course.

Madden Special Edition Includes 'Sunday Ticket'—Even Without DirecTV

There's been a bit of confusion as to what all this means. Yes, DirecTV is doing the deal because it hopes football fans might ditch their cable provider and sign up with them. But even if you live in an area with DirecTV access, and choose not to subscribe, you may still use the code to watch Sunday Ticket games on your computer, tablet or other mobile device. You don't have to subscribe to DirectTV. (Update: You cannot use the code to access Sunday Ticket through the PS3's app. Lots of folks wondered about that one. Sorry.)

That comes from Anthony Stevenson, Madden's director of marketing, clearing up some confusion from the official announcement yesterday. "With this offer you don't need to be a directv subscriber," he said today via Twitter. "You can access Sunday Ticket digitally."

Of course, you can't watch Sunday Ticket on a TV (unless you rig it up as your PC or mobile's display, I suppose) so DirecTV wants you to so fall in love with the Red Zone channel, and not being shackled to the Cleveland Browns, Jacksonville Jaguars or a Parade of Homes infomercial if your team is blacked out, that you're willing to slap a dish on the side of your house. That's up to you.

The "anniversary edition" is $40 more than the regular one, of course, but speaking as someone who's gone without any kind of TV service other than Netflix and MLB.tv for the past year, that's decent value. Only a "limited number" of these editions will be sold so, obviously, it's a big preorder come on.

The official news release said simply that the "unique code" included in the box was "for fans unable to receive DirecTV service." The other bullet points implied those that did have access to DirectTV would have to sign up to take advantage of the code. "Offers like this are complex and have to be written a certain way," Stevenson explained later. "Believe me, I wish it was easier too."
