Lyricism, by definition---an intense personal quality expressive of feeling or emotion in an art (as poetry or music)[Webster]---quintessentially, is what this man embodied and has nothing at all to do wit use of similes, ingenious turns of thought or even colorful imagination....Wacka Flocka exudes great lyricism (what makes his songs work for the large part, despite poor rhyme and songwriting skills)...Soulja boy on "Turn my swag on" is great lyricism...when will hip-hop fans (and journalists) learn that multis and similes don't make for great lyricism (or even music) but rather the distinctive energy carried within your very flow??

They said he was great but it read like they felt they had to say it to appease the fans like it always does with these journalists.
It's never just "Pac was this and that that's why he was the greatest", it's always "he wasn't a good lyricist, in fact he was an average lyricist, but he's the greatest anyway"
Do you ever hear a magazine talk about Jay-Z like "sure he never touched your soul like Pac but he's an incredible lyricist", or point out the flaws of any other GOAT contender for that matter...they only play that justification game with Pac because I feel like deep down they don't really feel that way.
All these Jay dikkriding or uninformed wigger journalists seem like the type to have been anti-Pac back then
