How is he a great rapper? he's the rapper that struggles the most when it comes to rhythmic transitions
You like his voice, thats it. Cuz his flow ain't good from a technical aspect.
Dre is a performer, not a rapper. They even give him the easiest verses to “perform,” and it’s still heavily computer-assisted. He relies a lot on his vocal presence live because his actual rapping ability is weak.
A lot of people don’t really understand what rapping is... they don’t understand flow either. Just because something sounds good to your ear doesn’t mean it’s dope. Dr. Dre was never ranked as a top rapper, even before all the ghostwriter stuff came out - because he ain't a good rapper.
There has only been 2 top top top tier rappers in mainstream LA, and thats Kendrick and Cube...with the former arguably having mastered the most difficult flows since Andre 3000.
Both of you need those ears checked. Dre wasnt Spittin on the Watcher 2?? There are people that think he had the best verse (even though the god took that) And how in the fukk is he not a rapper when he was in a rap group/and was some folks favorite out of the group, he still had to deliver the raps even if he didn't write them.

. Dre's flow and delivery are top notch for whatever verse he gets, from the NWA shyt on down.
