It all started with his apperance on Snoop Dogg's bytch Please

This appearance officially made him a household name and his demand for features went up. I remember him receiving the Source quotable of the month because of that verse. Then afterwards he started doing features on everyone from Snoop, Dre, Eminem, Eastsidaz, Nate, Remixes for Red and Meth, Sticky Fingaz, Erick Sermon, and even corny ass Limp Bizkit.

When Restless came out, it wasn't what his core really appreciated but it was a dope album nevertheless and X earned his first platinum plaque. It was downhill after that for him but dude's run from 99 to 2000 was nice

Nah, it all started from dude saying "and for that lil nikka that made Paparazzi" or whatever from Pac's Makavaeli album.

But I give him props. The first two times I heard him (Paparazzi and that Tha Alkaholiks Bottom's Up album (first track "X to tha Z Xziibit") he sounded like two different people.

When dude from Pac's crew spoke on him for whatever reason, I flashed back to Paparazzi and that 'Liks album

Or maybe I got the timeline wrong cause I was out of synch with the rest of the nation

edit: He didn't appear on that Liks album until that old skool party song. I think it was the last track.

I enjoyed Xzibit's run. He's an artist that the fame definitely affected though.

Here's a forgotten Xzibit track from between 40 Dayz and Restless. If I remember right he performed this at the Up In Smoke Tour:

I remember buying ATSOL album back in 96, I think I did my little "switch the price tags" trick and got it cheap. The cover just looked dope and I thought I'd pick it up. I'm pretty sure the enhanced cd didn't work for me tho. One of my fav albums ever

Yeah his momentum was looking good in 99-2000. Restless was nice, that was my favorite album of his, the "oh no, X get drunk and fukk for sure" joint was my shyt lol.

Yeah Restless was a hell of an album, hasn't aged too bad either when you listen back. Man vs Machine was a big step down though I dunno what happened there. Weapons of Mass Destruction had some joints but it was over for him then.

He's still dope though, his recent album "Napalm" had a lot of heat.
