Congrats bruh. I was an STNA for about 6 yrs. LIke Reasonable_doubter said, “Go to a community college and get your core math and sciences out of the way”. Make sure you focus when you do go, don’t half ass/mis-step, it’s an investment in yourself. I went to Bryant and Stratton for my RN, and got screwed over. I was depressed and remained an STNA until I got my mind right, and went to a vocational school and got my LPN. I make $23 an hr now, nothing great, but way better than what I made as an STNA. I am now going back and will bridge to get my RN. I never had guidance in my life, never had message boards like this here to help flip the switch in my head...... You can eat real well at nursing homes, and at assisted living spots, hella single women, single moms, and married women.

I used to finesse my female coworkers into cleaning up poop and pee, while I’d do the heavy lifting.... There were linen closets on every hall, I’d call them “my office”
:shaq:......... and make sure you stay up on your alpha male strategies, don’t give away too much non-sexual convo!

Do not get comfortable in your role as a CNA, use it as a stepping stone. Don’t know your age, but if you have no college education, you are only 9-12 months away from your LPN, 2-4 years away from your RN, 6yrs away from being a nurse practitioner. You see where I’m going with this. The more education you have in the medical field, the less physical job, and the more paper you’ll touch, and the more paper you touch, the more p_$$y you’ll touch.
