Amazing to me how people read an article title or thread title and walk away with a false narrative. If you said Harvard scientists were exploring ways to combat global warming by spraying non toxic calcium carbonate dust into the air, essentially a sun reflecting aerosol, nobody would blink an eye. That would be the truth too. Bill Gates just happens to agree with exploring this solution to global warming and decided to finance it, and now we have people believing he's akin to a James Bond villain.
Forget about Harvard scientists, forget about they're only exploring this possibility because they're aware of the risks, forget about this is just in preliminary experimental stages and may not even become a thing, forget about they're looking to test this at a remote location in Sweden.
Forget all of that, because Bill Gates is backing them, so that means this is his idea.
