Music is subjective so some people might think he already fell off, some don't, and some don't think he was that good to begin with. When it comes to popularity, he can fall off definitely, I see people are already starting to get tired of him. He never was as big as the people you mentioned btw. I agree wit dude who said he'll disappear and do movies instead of makin music.

Yea thats the secret to Jay's success, tho his stans will never admit, Jay never had a peak like Drake,50 or Wayne. In hip hop/America in general you cant be HEAD HONCHO for too long. Before the people start to turn they back on you.

Happens in sports as well.
Jay-Z in the late 90s to early 2000s was every bit as popular as Wayne and Drake are right now. If by peak you mean record sales dominance then no. When Jay was selling his most records, so were a lot of other people (X, Ja, Juvie, then of course Em). But Jay was beating Ja and X at all the award shows until Em came along. It was almost like when Alicia Keys kept beating India Arie. Drake will stick around for the same reason Jay does, unlike Ja or 50, his album sales are not entirely hype and single-driven. People by Drake albums to hear his "deeper" records. They have bought into Drake the person. That's why Jay-Z remains, he has that core audience that bought into him and will buy his shyt off principle. He can still make hits that will draw in commercial fans and Drake can certainly do that as well, but neither of them entirely abandons their "base." Guys like Nelly and 50 never had a base, they were just that dude who had the records people loved but they never had love for the artist. That same type of love for the artist is why J. Cole will be around longer than people think. But if you define fall off as not being the complete alpha dog then yeah, he'll fall off from that. The new hotness always sells more.

Jay went 5x platinum in 1998, and headlined one of the biggest rap tours of all time. How was he not the biggest rapper in the game from 1998-2000? Who was bigger?
