He's not a plant he's connected . He's Coach K's nephewYachty's persona and image is too damn c00nish and bufoonish for my tastes. Like i feel he's a plant to further dumb down the image of the black man in rap.

I'll tell you what. Post 3 off his best songs and I'll give them an unbiased ear and I'll tell you what I think.

Yall go ahead and write your hottest freestyle to that sugary ass beat.
We'll wait.
Stop It
he got on like, immediately after he started making music, not after he started buzzing, but started making music, period
so hes catching heat from us 'old heads' cuz hes been thrown out here to the forefront, and his skills are nowhere near where they should be for where he is at in terms of visibility and hype.
thats kinda how the game is now tho, get the fame first, figure the rest out later
the downside is, we gotta watch rap nikkas learn to rap for entertainment now, instead of watching them take a craft they've already honed to an impressive point, and then take it from there to a whole new level.
I'm telling y'all tho, this current state of rap CANNOT and will not last forever it's only a matter of time cause the decline has been going on almost 2 decades, like I feel like people thinking the game gonna stay this bad for years to come but naw, youth gonna grow up, listen to more chill music and with the kinda tech and multitude of genres the next generation probably gonna make better more advanced music, but will actually care about hip hop, the game gotta change eventually.
Eat a fukkin dic cant believe u defending this clownyachty floated on Monte, Smoke Break and Broccoli. his main single, and minnesota are cool too.
he can definitely deliver a dope verse on a feature from time to time
but he cant do no sort of live, on the spot, spit a verse type shyt (sway would make him cry if he came up to the show sounding like this)
he should start avoiding things that will put him in that position.
that beat sucked ass, but he coulda rapped on it, if he was comfortable with rapping on the spot.
i think hes just not comfortable as a rapper yet. he got on like, immediately after he started making music, not after he started buzzing, but started making music, period

Well if it won't recover then something new is going to have to spring out and about itIt won't recover breh,.....
Rap was the last end game to the degradation disco turned house made al of music into as music moved out of the black nationalist era of soul record making.
So, there is no new culture with any actual black foundational building at its core.
To re-bolster it or create a solution or an alternative anti culture.
Plus, auto tuned domesticated trip hop is nuffin more than trip hop from massive attack to portishead and bjork.
With no upside in quality and no abstract artistic vibe as that tifecta already pushed the genre as far as it could go artisitically and sonically.
Lyrically it failed to draw platinum as a rap based commodity because twenty years ago trickie to goldie failed to improve rapping as well.
Which is why the genre does not draw platinum after the initial genre changing submissions from the top draws like ka ye in rap already bottomed it out with its first long player based submission.
Which showed this genre still had nk legs and would again suffer to draw because the model used for its direction lyrically was low quality in execution vocally to start.

But fukk now that I think about it, hip hops biggest issue even through the golden age is that whatever is popular in this genre gets exploited and abused to no end, the only sub genere I can think of that wasn't dikked down by the industry is like the neo-soul stuff in the 00's but that shyt died out quick, imo that's what hip hop and rnb should've really evolved further in.
I still have some faith tho, I feel like trip hop isn't a completely realized genre and with the kind of electronic artists and music tech these days I'm pretty sure hip hop can really make something super special out of it now more so than in the past
But again, if the devils in the offices gets their hands on it it won't even matter
You know what fukk it imma just be an electronica dj and live in Europe this is bullshyt fukk
