I trolled them as much as I could but it was like throwing a pebble in the ocean.


ESPN did the same thing a few years back. shyt is sad really. But you get to see how ignorant and hateful people in the country really are. YouTube is probably next.

I seen some video on there the other night about Christians who love Trump and man I believe in God but the lady in the video seem brainwashed and so did the people in the comments section.

I never had an issue with comment sections. 1) you know what to expect 2) it’s always good to have a reality check and know what opposing views think...too many people want to be insulated in echochambers and people who only think like them 3) they were easy to avoid

You don't cancel a debate because the moderator can't effectively moderate, you find a better moderator...

The reality of these comment sections is they are all OPTIONAL...Nobody was forcing anyone to scroll down and read the comment section, you CHOOSE to read the comment section...Taking that CHOICE away from the public and silencing them from voicing an opposing opinion is anti-democratic...

You don't have to go nuclear and shutdown an OPTIONAL comment section to remove racists and propaganda trolls, all you have to do is step your moderation game up...

I see what you're saying, but at a certain point it's a lost cause, IMO. The amount of effort and money it would take to moderate and reign in the rampant bigotry on Yahoo comments would be nearly insurmountable. Those comment sections have been a dumpster fire for well over a decade; best just to let it burn out and start over than try to control the blaze.

it was too infected. it didn't matter what kind of story was posted or what article was written. It's why facebook news groups are a problem.
