Even if they don't get Dwight/CP3, SVG would still be a good look. Hawks have some talent & Stan Van is one of the best at adapting to his personnel.

Stan Van and Dwight text now every week. Dwight taught the Lakers everything he learned from SVG defensively. Antoni owes SVG a little credit.

ATL is in a weird position though, their basically in rebuild mode. To get the most out of that cap they'll have to renounce all their players & have to hope for their big targets to be willing to leave money to come there.

The other option if they don't get CP3 & Dwight would be signing a bunch of guys to 1 year contracts like Dallas did & try again next year. They could tank next year get a top pick in a great draft & then try to sign big players next summer. SVG more than likely doesn't want to do that when he could have his pick of jobs with teams that have their rosters set more than ATL.
