Was looking/waiting for a new season thread. We out here y'all

Gotta eat my crow on Griff; I said earlier this year he wouldn't have the guts to fire Gentry or trade Jrue despite the writing on the wall that it was time to move on from both, yet he did just that. Happy to be proven wrong. :wow: Hope Jrue beats that soft bytch AD's ass in the Finals this season then leaves for Indiana or Miami immediately after :mjlit:

We got the Bucks first rounder this year so we definitely gonna be making a move on or before draft day to package our picks and move up. One of Bledsoe and Hill is definitely getting flipped to another team, maybe both depending on if Griff can pull off another fleecing but that might be pushing our luck. I have no real opinion on the guys outside of the top 3 in this draft so I'll trust whoever the coaching staff and FO choose to go with wherever we land on draft night. We own the Bucks and Lakers draft future for the next half decade y'all; we basically get to call dibs on any disgruntled superstar that asks out that we like or we might get lucky and get a good pick to add cheap, affordable talent on a rookie scale contact next to Zion around the time he'll be getting paid. Future is bright y'all :blessed:

:russ: Our resident "PeLaker" "FortySainter breh can't catch a break this week

I'm not sure if we are keeping these guys or if they're leverage and assets for another move but....

Number one, we need to make sure Ingram signs an max extension.

We still need more shooting and an athletic big that can defend the rim and occasionally score from the mid range and long range to stretch the floor.

An Al Horford type guy would have been perfect for us, but he's old and not anywhere near movable or worth what he's getting paid right now.

I'd be looking at a Myles Turner type guy, but he's a little overpaid too; however, he's younger with more longterm upside. I'm not sure how we'd make the contracts work either without giving up assets or even if Indiana would be interested.

Draft night should be fun cuz Griff gonna be active active.

We following the 2010s Thunder model which is what I felt we shoulda did with AD. This gonna be dependent though on BI and Zion taking that leap. Maybe Lonzo but honestly, I just don't see it with him. :francis: I'm giving him this one more year to show he's worth a damn.

My immediate biggest question is what we gonna do with JJ cuz I feel ain't no way dude gonna wanna be here now with Jrue gone.

My biggest thing I wanna see this season overall is if Zion took his offseason seriously and is dedicating all the means he can to being in tip top shape. If he has weight issues and body problems again, and I swear if we roll out the damn "He's gonna play in spurts/bursts" narrative, I'ma be fukking heated.

I'ma miss Jrue but I think it's overkill with some saying retire his jersey and whatnot. I think teams getting way too lenient in retiring jerseys because a player was nice off the court or "showed the girt of our team".

Retired jerseys need to be for the best of the best.

Now, I'd have no problem with him going in our team HOF or whatever.
