Y'all agree that the Money in the Bank concept has run its course?

I used to look forward to Money in the Bank to see who was next in line to be elevated up the card or just to see innovative spots etc. Shelton was never going to win :mjpls: but he was the fukkin MVP of a couple of those matches.

I liked the Edge run-in on Cena after Cena had fought in the chamber. Brilliant execution. I liked RVD deciding to tell Cena ahead of time that it was gonna be on his home turf at the ECW PPV.

But then we saw more run-ins. And more run-ins. And more run-ins. Then they started having no clue who to give the briefcase. Jack Swagger. Sheamus. Sandow. :francis: They had no real plans for these guys.

Either they gotta make some adjustments or dead the thing. I like that in New Japan if you win the G1 that guarantees the spot at Wrestle Kingdom. That's similar to Royal Rumble guaranteeing you a WrestleMania main event.

Maybe Money in the Bank can guarantee a shot at SummerSlam. I don't know. I don't need to see some goofy fukk carrying around a briefcase for 9 months ever again. :pachaha:

Pretty much, I know getting a Briefcase is cool to see, but its better to just have the Titles. Its become commonpoint to have the person run-in later during a PPV. I would probably think Trips will phase it out when he gets more control from Vince in a few years.

Before the brand split i was like they need Jericho to win it then claim that since he was the one that created the MITB concept that he would sue WWE for royalties for all the matches ever had and it causes him to be the very last Money In The Bank winner since he won't give the rights to WWE to have anymore MITB matches in the future.

It's replaced KOTR (Since Vince hates tornaments for some reason) and has basically been the 4th most important PPV of the year since 2010/2011, but it could use an update

It's a prop that moves a story forward :yeshrug:

The way they book it has been trash but the idea of a bunch of guys not directly in the title scene competing for a chance to get in makes sense.

Really? :dahell:

Vince hates matches that actually matter and are all a build up to one big satisfying conclusion where the pay-off could be grand? :heh:

I would much rather just have those guys in their own feuds and their own programs instead of tying them to the top belt and having them fight for the right to be worthless champions.

Most of these guys aren't good enough to be TRANSITIONAL champions!

My exact reaction! :mindblown:

Jericho's the source I think, so take it for what it's worth.

I still enjoy the concept

We could use some fresh faces in it, have a ready NXT call up be a mystery entrant and let him win it or hell let the women have a MITB this time.

Becky's character is so sympathetic she's near perfect to be under that type of pressure

The shyt is damn near always a guaranteed win that dastardly heel losing clean after having an unfair advantage could easily be slow burned into a sympathetic babyface turn if they feel like storytelling.

It's been played out. The freshest cash-in in years was Rollins last year because it was the main event of Mania and it was the first time it was cashed in during a match. Other than that, it's been stale. Have somebody cash in at a house show or during a ladder match or something at least. Spice it up.
