Breh, you said he went broke, that article says nothing of the likes, it says he got audited and owes 6 million. Rich people get audited all the damn time, your president is currently under audit and will probably have to pay 20 times more than that. Just because you owe the IRS doesn't mean you're in trouble, it means they found some wrong numbers, adjusted it, and now you have a new sum. :laff:

you said he was broke and had to fight DLH to get out of debt. :francis:

When you owe money, they put leins on your homes, they reposes you cars, you are broke.
You can be a Floyd boxing fan and realize the truth that he fukked up with his money and had to come out of retirement to pay it back.

Like I said he owed money and they put a lein on his homes.
He had cars that he took out loans to purchase and could keep up with the payment and they reposed those cars.

I would think you would know what you are talking about before you decide to try to cape for a person.

I didn't read any of that in the article.

Maybe you should since you asked for the link
I'm trying real hard not to embarrass you, for example saying Floyd retire before DLH. Actually he retired after and returned for the Marquez fight.

also
Mayweather, who is returning to the ring after retiring a year ago, has said his scheduled September fight against Juan Manuel Marquez isn't all about a big payday, but a lucrative purse couldn't hurt in his ongoing battle to keep up on his bills.
Nothing in the article talks about repossession.

on the contrary it talks about having paid the lein before the return fight.
The IRS filed liens totaling nearly $6.3 million for unpaid taxes from 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2006, and three homeowners associations also filed claims against the boxer that were later resolved, county records show.

I think you should stop now.

I didn't say Floyd retired before the DLH fight, I literally posted
I haven't been waiting for him him to go broke.
That said he was broke and owed the IRS after his first retirement. That is why he came back after the Oscar fight.
That said you never have too much money to not go broke if you spend it foolishly.
I'm hoping its all just an act and its a character, but the interview was done by a woman who is a close confidant and Floyd saw it and said he approved of it. He was going to the bank and withdrawing 250k in cash per day. He had multiple businesses where people would sometimes not get paid for weeks and he would then come and pay them with rolexes and jewelry. He had 4 planes, two on each coast, multiple cars and homes and was spending a lot of money on top of the money he withdrew.

Now I hope he is okay, but if he is living that lifestyle he will be broke and it would be a damn shame

Try to slow down and actually read what I posted and if you have a problem with a link, actually read the link instead of talking about things you haven't read.

You say he paid his lein, no the article doesn't say that, it actually says that at the times the leins were unpaid, but he had past issues paying his taxes that had been settled.

LAS VEGAS -- Boxer Floyd Mayweather Jr. is being sued by a bank in Las Vegas for more than $167,000 unpaid on a loan for a half-million-dollar luxury car.

Caleb Langsdale, a lawyer for JP Morgan Chase Bank, said in a lawsuit filed last week in Clark County District Court that the former five-division boxing champion bought the Mercedes Maybach 57S in February 2007 and stopped making monthly payments of more than $9,000 a year later.

The bank repossessed the vehicle in January, sold it for $196,000, and is seeking to recoup the difference, the lawsuit said.
The IRS and others use liens to secure payments by placing a claim on the property of individuals who owe them money. Liens damage a person's credit rating and remain on credit reports longer than other negative information, such as late payments. Once unpaid taxes are satisfied, the IRS files lien releases saying so with the county recorder.

Raphael Tulino, an IRS spokesman, said Thursday that the agency does not comment specifically on individual tax situations. The IRS said in the October lien itself that it has demanded payment, but the 2007 taxes remained unpaid.

A clerk in New Jersey Superior Court said Thursday that the $193,000 judgment there had not been satisfied.

Mayweather (39-0, 25 KOs) has been socked with liens in the past and paid them off, according to recorder records in Clark County. The IRS filed liens totaling nearly $6.3 million for unpaid taxes from 2001, 2003, 2005 and 2006, and three homeowners associations also filed claims against the boxer that were later resolved, county records show.

You literally are lying now and for no reason, you aren't floyd and acknowledging that he had money problems in the past isn't knocking him its just fact.

As for the repossesion that isn't in the article, its just a fact that occured during the time that i remembered here is a link though if you want it.

If you think he went bankrupt after the highest viewed, highest paying fight of the century at the time, I feel sorry for you.

Not paying one of your 19 car notes doesn't necessarily mean you're broke btw. It means neglect.

He didn't get the huge purse on the ODLH fight, he was the b-side, he got a career high to the point but he wasn't pulling in money and getting on the back end like he does now.

That said holyfield and Tyson went broke after making far more than he had made at that point.

Not paying car notes after a year and getting a vehicle repossessed, getting liens put on your homes by the IRS, owing taxes to the state of Nevada and New Jersey as well, and owing contractors and HOAs is not a sign of someone who has financial health.
