Those GI Joe VHs tapes were $90 with inflation. Some SNES and Genesis games were only FOURTY DOLLAR LESS THAN A BRAND NEW SWITCH LITE :gucci: but but but $70 games and $80 controllers :beli:

Sometimes it's easy to forget how it was back in the day.

I was too young to really understand, but shyt definitely was costing a grip back then.

I remember when my mom got me Super Street Fighter 2 along with that six-button pad on Genesis. Could play SF without having to change the button layout. Had all of the buttons available.

shyt was mad fun.

Gotta keep in mind minimum wages have remained stationary for a long ass time. Minimum wage or getting like 10 dollars an hour back then would be able to get you all that shyt for your kids and still be able to pay bills

Them prices...no wonder we only got 2 games max. And me and my brother had to share video game gifts. So still 2 games per year for 2 boys. And we always got a new gaming system late..like year 3 after the launch.

Them prices

In that era there wasn't a necessity for both. You had the same games. Mortal Kombat, street fighter, NBA jam, there were only a few exclusives and you weren't missing out if you didn't have them. Now the margin of exclusive is wider and you will miss out. Or mfs will just pretend they are garbage anyway.

Those prices ain't even crazy compared to the N64 prices.
Most would between 100-200 dollars.

I remember when we'd warzone came out. Some had it for PS others N64. Then thq came in crushed the building with WCW/nwo revenge, WrestleMania 2000 and no mercy. Lines were drawn in the sand at that time.
